FAQ

Are your DVDs copies/ pirates?
No. All disc's sold by Strange Vice are legitimate products, the majority of which are sourced directly from the companies who release them.
Are these items new and unplayed?
Yes. Unless clearly stated otherwise in the listings, all our products are brand new and sealed (unless the manufacturer/ supplier does not provide them to us sealed or shrink-wrapped).
When, on occasion, our items are second hand, or have been previously used for review purposes this shall always be clearly indicated in our listing, and condition will be graded accordingly.
Will these discs play in my machine ?

Because our products are sourced internationally please check your player's compatibility prior to ordering. All our listings for DVD and Blu Ray will include the individual discs region coding. Please refer to the map below for more details of international region codes.

Some of our discs are on the DVDR format*. The majority of players will support this format; however , if in doubt please check before buying.

*titles sold by Strange Vice on the DVDR format are not pirates or home made copies. These are titles that have been officially released and supplied to us on this format (i.e. They are legal and legitimate goods.)

What are the postal charges and when will I receive my item?

Postage and packing charges are automatically calculated at the checkout stage of your online order, with insurance provided as an optional extra. The total cost of postage based on you orders value weight and location to which it is being sent.

All orders will be processed and posted within 3 working days of placement. Orders to the UK will be sent by first class post. However if you have any special requirement regarding delivery just get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

Lost Items. What happens if I don't receive my order?
If you have paid for insured postage we will send you  a replacement for your order, pending stock availability. Should one or all of your items be out of stock you will receive a refund. Refunds or replacements cannot be guaranteed on uninsured packages; however, a postal claim will be applied for by us and refunds/replacements provided if and when such claims are successful.
What happens if my order arrives damaged?
Please refer to the above section regarding lost items.

Furthermore we strongly recommend keeping the “don't add bubblewrapp” box UNCHECKED when placing your order.

Our standard packaging procedure includes making a small slit in the cellophane wrapping of sealed DVDs and inserting a sheet of bubblewrapp, in order to prevent discs from coming loose inside their cases in transit.

Our standard packaging procedure for sealed LPs is to slit the shrink wrap and remove the record and inner from the sleeve to prevent seam splits to the cover during transit. If the record comes with a printed inner sleeve the record will be sent in a plain white inner to prevent damage to the inner sleeve as well.
Payment. How do I pay for goods from the Strange Vice website?
For the time being we only accept PAYPAL. However we are working towards accepting other forms of payment in the not too distant future.
