First post in a while and we thought that we'd let you know that Strange Vice will have a stall and be playing some top drawer soundtrack records at this Glasgow Music and Film Festival event.
Usual scenario, won't have everything but if you are after anything specific and would like us to bring it along drop us a line (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Anyway, heres some text nicked from the promoters web page;
Throbbing goth-synth creep-scapes from the horror score fanatic.
The alter ego of musician Matt Hill, Umberto is a one-man band crafting horror score creep-scapes for the digital age. A true master of the horror film soundtrack aesthetic, his music is a hypnotic, all-consuming journey, reeling you into a foggy, neon-lit world of graveyards, stalkers, haunted houses, witches and blood-stained corpses. Evoking the unsettling progressive rock of Goblin and the sinister, dystopian synth-work of John Carpenter, his acclaimed releases have garnered considerable praise for their staggering, gothic take on italo disco and new-wave synth pop, recreating the brooding intensity of a Dario Argento soundtrack through the cyclical melodies and throbbing rhythms he shares with his closest contemporaries, Zombi and Gatekeeper.
Flying over exclusively from Kansas City, Missouri for GMFF, Umberto will be performing a live soundtrack to a secret film of his choice, with support from power-sleaze duo Organs of Love and Strange Vice DJs.
Co-presented by independent promoters Cry Parrot: http://www.facebook.com/ cryparrot

It with with great sadness to find out that David Alexander Hess passed away at the age of 69 yesterday (19th September 1942 – 7th October 2011).
Known to many as Krug from his starring role in Wes Craven's classic nasty Last House on the Left (1972).
Hess was a total dude and I often think back to the time that I got to meet him in a boozer in Edinburgh and see him play some tunes. That was a great night and makes me feel sad to think that it can never happen again.
Another one of the legends in now gone.

So not much change on the site of recent although we have been busy.
At the moment we are working on setting up accounts with new distributors/labels and re-stocking some of our stock. So in the next couple of weeks expect some more updates and loads of new titles added to the catalogue. Hopefully as we get the word out and start selling more items we will be updating the site on a much more regular basis.
If you haven't already signed up to the mailing list, please do.
Also if you are part of a dvd company or record label that you think fits in with Strange Vice and want us to stock your releases please get in touch. Also if you wanna send us flyers or promo items to include in our mailouts or give away at our events please send them to the address on the contact page.
