Shigeru Okada is one of Japan's most brilliant up-and-coming stop motion animation artists, and Error 4444 is delighted to introduce audiences to two of his most impressive feats of mind-bending horror animation: DEFORMED GECKO (2017) and DEFORM (2020). Both are presented here in their director-approved feature-length Blu Ray debut under the title THE DEFORM COLLECTION.

DEFORMED GECKO follows a quiet family who suddenly become terrorized by a menacing gecko. DEFORM follows a group of college students investigating an abandoned building, who are picked off one-by-one in increasingly grotesque and gory ways by an otherworldly menace. Fans of out-there cosmic and grotesque body horror will have plenty of visuals to challenge their eyeballs as Okada tops himself with every gory body transformation, mutation and nightmarish monster he tosses at viewers.

We’re proud to introduce to you our first animated film release, from one of Japan’s modern stop-motion animation artists, Shigeru Okada. THE DEFORM COLLECTION is a cosmic and body horror match made in hell, boasting grotesque human disfigurement and ungodly transformations for a higher purpose. This collection contains Okada’s DEFORMED GECKO short and his DEFORM feature.
