with Reversible Artwork & Bonus Soundtrack CD

A decade before bonus features became ubiquitous on DVD, there was "Shock Cinema," a four-volume series of VHS videos released by Cinema Home Video and hosted by legendary scream queen Brinke Stevens. Newly restored from original 3/4-inch and Super-VHS videotape elements, this brand-new Blu-ray release includes nearly six hours of retro home video entertainment with all four original volumes plus additional behind-the-scenes footage from “Murder Weapon” and the complete 1990 interview with filmmaker J.R. Bookwalter for the first time ever.

Volumes One and Two include candid, exclusive interviews with filmmakers Charles Band (“Ghoulies”), Fred Olen Ray (“Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers”), Jeff Burr (“Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre III”), Scott Spiegel (“Evil Dead 2”), David DeCoteau (“Puppet Master III: Toulon’s Revenge”), Daniel M. Peterson (“Girlfriend From Hell”), Joel Bender (“Gas Pump Girls”), and J.R. Bookwalter (“The Dead Next Door”); editor Chris Roth (“Killer Klowns from Outer Space”); writers Forrest J. Ackerman (Famous Monsters), C. Courtney Joyner (“Prison”), Mark McGee (“Equinox”), Ted Newsom (“Whispers from a Shallow Grave”), and Frederick Bailey (“Silk”); actors Robert Quarry (“Count Yorga, Vampire”), Deanna Lund (“Land of the Giants”), John Goodwin (“Tremors”), and Melissa Moore (“Sorority House Massacre II”); effects artists Ernest D. Farino (“The Terminator”), Steve Neill (“Ghostbusters”), and Michael Burnett (“Star Trek: Enterprise”); and cinematographer Gary Graver (“The Other Side of the Wind”).

Volumes Three and Four feature behind-the-scenes footage and makeup effects secrets from “Murder Weapon,” “Robot Ninja,” “Skinned Alive,” and “Ghoul School,” blooper reels from “Nightmare Sisters” and “Dr. Alien,” vintage trailers, and much more!
