Are the items that you sell home made copies?
No. All items sold by Strange Vice are legitimate products, the majority of which are sourced directly from the companies who release them.
Are these items new and unplayed?
Yes. All our products are brand new.
Why has my new item arrived with the factory seal broken?
Although the majority are please note that not all products are factory sealed by the manufacturer. This is something that we have no control over but If you need to check this please just ask using the contact form.
Occasionally we choose to replace generic cases when stock is damaged on it’s way to us, obviously we have to unseal those items in order to do this. We do this at our discretion.
Our standard packaging for DVDs includes making a small slit in the cellophane and slipping a piece of bubble wrap inside the case. We do this in order to prevent discs from coming loose inside their cases , and getting scratched as a result. If you would rather we didn’t do this just tick the “Don’t add bubblewrap inside DVD case” box at checkout.
Our standard packaging for sealed LPs includes slitting the shrink wrap and removing the record and inner from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits during transit. If the record comes with a printed inner sleeve, the record will also be removed from this and sent in a plain white inner also in order to avoid seam splits to the printed inner sleeve. Therefore we strongly recommend keeping the, “Do not not break seal on record”, box UNCHECKED when completing your order. If however you’d rather keep any factory seal intact it’s your call, just tick this.
Will these discs play in my machine ?
All our listings for DVD and Blu Ray include the individual discs region coding. Because our products are sourced internationally please check your player's compatibility prior to ordering. If you do not have a multi-region player please refer to the list of region codes below.
Some discs are on the DVDR or Blu Ray-R format*. The majority of players support this format. If in doubt please check before buying.
*titles sold by Strange Vice on the DVDR or Blu Ray-R format are not made by us. They are supplied to us on this format directly by the labels/film makers that release them.
