Items are sent securely packaged and for added protection we recommend keeping the don't add bubble wrap inside DVD case box unchecked or the do not break seal on record box unchecked (see the "What happens if my order arrives damaged?" section of the FAQ ).
However if you have any special requirement regarding delivery just get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
Is the media that you sell home made copies?
No. All items sold by Strange Vice are legitimate products, the majority of which are sourced directly from the companies who release them.
Are these items new and unplayed?
Yes. All our products are brand new.
Why has my new item arrived with the factory seal broken?
Strange Vice want you to get the stuff you buy from us in the best possible condition.
Our standard packaging for DVDs includes making a small slit in the cellophane and inserting a small piece of bubble wrap inside the case . This prevents discs from coming loose inside their cases in transit , and getting scratched as a result . Therefore we strongly recommend keeping the “Don’t add bubble wrap inside DVD case” box UNCHECKED when placing your order.
Our standard packaging for sealed LPs includes making a cut in the shrink wrap and removing the record and inner from the outer sleeve . This prevents seam splits to the record sleeve during transit. If the record comes with a printed inner sleeve, the record will also be removed from this and sent in a plain white inner in order to avoid damage to the printed inner sleeve. Therefore we strongly recommend keeping the, “Do not not break seal on record”, box UNCHECKED when placing your order.
Please note that not all products are factory sealed by the manufacture. If you have an queries please just ask using the contact form.
Will these discs play in my machine ?
All our listings for DVD and Blu Ray include the individual discs region coding. Because our products are sourced internationally please check your player's compatibility prior to ordering. If you do not have a multi-region player please refer to the list of region codes below.
Some discs are on the DVDR or Blu Ray-R format*. The majority of players support this format. If in doubt please check before buying.
*titles sold by Strange Vice on the DVDR or Blu Ray-R format are not made by us. They are supplied to us on this format directly by the labels/film makers that release them.

4K Region Codes
4K movies titles are not region coded. With a 4k Blu-ray Player, you should be able to play a 4k Blu-ray disc from anywhere in the world. With that being said, it’s important to understand that standard Blu-ray and DVD discs retain their region-coding on 4k Blu-ray Players, so you will not be able to play foreign Blu-ray or DVD discs on a 4k Player unless it’s a region-free model.
Additional Region Code Information
Region 0 means that no type of region code has been embedded, or that the disc has been embedded for regions 1 through 6. This type is generally referred to as being a “region free” disc.
