A Study in Horror, Sex and Magic!
The priest Sven (Hans Wahlgren) and his pregnant wife Anna (Anita Sanders) live in the vicarage of a small village in Northern Sweden. Anna's friend Hedvig (Solveig Andersson) comes to visit. But Hedvig has an evil mind and causes hauntings and mysterious deaths. The Devil's voodoo priestess puts a spell on Anna and Sven and has an orgy with them.
One of Sweden’s few horror movies, and definitely the only erotic one. Solveig Andersson was also in Thriller – A Cruel Picture, Eva - Swedish and Underage, The Lustful Vicar and Swedish Wildcats. Anita Sanders was mainly active in Italian film, where she worked with both Pasolini and Fellini. Hans Wahlgren also played opposite Solveig Andersson in Eva – Swedish and Underage.
The director Torgny Wickman was a late bloomer. After three feature films in the 50s, he came back with a vengeance, churning out no less than eleven sexploitation films between 1969 and 1975 in cooperation with the producer Inge Ivarson. Wickman’s big break came with the sex education film The Language of Love (1969), which became a huge international box office hit, and had four sequels.
