In the desert near a small American town, teenagers are found brutally murdered. Sheriff Jim Tanner is baffled. When his daughter Lola's boyfriend is killed and she is hospitalized in shock, he intensifies his investigation and discovers that a mysterious dinosaur species is hunting humans at night. The trail leads to a laboratory complex where the enigmatic Dr. Hyde is pulling the strings. He proves uncooperative and unwilling to reveal the details of his research. The dinosaurs are raptors specifically bred for military use, their killer instincts unmatched by anything earthly.
