Christina Lindberg meets Reiko Ike in an explosive yakuza masterpiece in 1880s Japan!
Young Ochoo witnesses father's brutal murder leading, to a nineteen-year quest for vengeance. Trained by female yakuza in the deadly arts of sword combat and seduction, she emerges as an unstoppable force of retribution in Japan's criminal underworld.
When a beautiful Western spy (Christina Lindberg) crosses her road during a high-stakes gambling match, their fats become intertwined in a web of political organization, sexual torture, and spectacular bloodshed. From the legendary naked sword fight to the unforgettable staircase battle sequence, this is the seminal revenge film that established the visual vocabulary later adopted by Tarantino and countless imitators. But they couldn’t copy the raw intensity, cultural authenticity, and uncompromising vision of director Noribuvi Suzuki’s original masterpiece.
Featuring Reiko Ike's career-definding performance as the tattooed angel of death and Christina Lindberg in one of her most memorable roles, this is essential for seeking anyone seeking to understand the DNA of modern action cinema.
Based on Taro Bonten's manga.
Fully uncut and restored.
