Vixens of Kung Fu + Night Bird + Sunny

Throughout the mid to late 1970s, NYC directors were experimenting with any and every genre imaginable; often taking inspiration from pop culture fads of the era. Presented here are a trio of films which reflect the diversity in approaches to the genre from some of New York’s finest auteurs. All three films are offered restored in 2K from their 35mm negatives from Peekarama.

After Paula is savagely attacked by a gang of thugs, she is rescued by an elite troupe of female kung fu masters who initiate her into a world of erotic self defense. Capitalizing on the martial arts film craze of the mid 70s, director Bill Milling’s VIXENS OF KUNG FU offers non-stop action of all varieties and stars Bree Anthony, CJ Laing, Juliet Graham, and Jamie Gillis.

Scheming Mabel Carter has devised the perfect plan to solve her financial woes. With her late husband’s vast estate left in trust to her nerdy son Marc, at least until he marries, Mabel hires a gold digging hooker named Sunny to seduce and wed him.
