Kokey

On a country path, little Bong (Carlo Aquino) and Anna (Ani Pearl Alonzo) rescue the alien Kokey, whose spaceship has crippled due to an unfortunate landing. Unbeknownst to his parents, they take him home, but the alien soon begins to miss his planet and his parents. The second and final Filipino success of “ET the Extra-Terrestrial” (1982), the first was “Little Boy Blue: Tiny Terrestrial” (1991), starring Mahal, an actress with dwarfism who was 23 at the time of filming. The film was a huge critical and commercial success in its homeland, so much so that it inspired a TV series of the same name consisting of over 100 episodes, filmed between 2001 and 2010.
