Darna

The fake philanthropist Dominico Lipolico (Edu Manzano), immortal and devoted to evil, along with his criminal gang composed primarily of the jellyfish-woman Valentina (Pilar Pilapil) and other folkloristic monsters, will try, through threats and blackmail, to recruit the superheroine and champion of good Darna (played by Hawaiian Nanette Medved) into his dark empire. Instead of giving in, Darna will do everything she can to defeat the criminals. A 1990s reboot and the thirteenth film adaptation of the Philippine comic book Amazon inspired by the American Wonder Woman, created in 1950 by Mars Ravelo and Nestor Redondo, who also collaborated with DC Comics and Marvel in the 1970s.
